Try, Try Again

Monday = no bump in pay.
Tuesday = ask the senior managers again.
Wednesday = pay increase was approved.

Come on – say it with me – WHOOT WHOOT!!

So far my new managers have been incredible.  They’ve been calling me, emailing me, setting up meetings with me.  They want to know what I am interested in doing and how I feel about things so far.  It is such a change from where I have been for the last two years, it will take some time for me to get used to the attention.  I’m so used to figuring things out on my own with no help from my manager – having direction given to me is a whole new thing!

In other news – I’m heading to Las Vegas for the weekend.  I’ve got a friend who lives there and I think a little early fall break from the gray skies will be good.  That, and it will give hubby a chance to have a “boys weekend” to do what ever he wants.  I can see it now, hubby playing video games, drinking beer and eating pizza all weekend long.  I just hope he remembers to feed the cats…
