So full…

Hubby and I went to Birch Bay with his family for the weekend.  Though we agreed on a set menu before we left, and even agreed on who was buying what, that didn’t stop his mother from bringing food for ten people with her.  It was amazing.  I think we ate non-stop for 48 hours.  I was so full yesterday I was sick to my stomach.  I demanded we walk around for an hour just to get a little exercise!
The weekend was a lot of fun.  I really like his sister’s kids.  They are well behaved and great to be around.  We stayed up late every night playing games and talking.  By Sunday we were all tired and ready to come home.
The best part of the trip was the room that we stayed in.  His sister was able to get the penthouse suite – 3 bedrooms and 3 baths.  It was wonderful.  We also had our own hot tub, albeit it was small, on the deck.  Hubby and I ended up with the best room somehow and spent the weekend sleeping in a giant king sized bed.  It was amazing!  I would wake up and he would be clear on the other side of the bed.  I felt like I could stretch out as much as I wanted and still not disturb his sleep.  We’re definitely getting one of those someday!
We were both glad to be home.  Not necessarily glad to go back to work as we’re both tired from the weekend, but glad to be home!
