More…

More...

So much happened last week and the weekend before and this last weekend... I can't write it all down. I have been having fun, along with not having any. That didn't make sense. Oh well! Guess that is Monday for you (yes I am just going to blame everything on Monday today. I don't do it often so I figure I am intitled!)

Work is a little slower today only because I took some stuff home and worked on it over the weekend. Nothing big, but enough to make a big impact on my day. Which is lovely. I was VERY stressed out last week. I could feel the tension in my stomach. Not a good thing. So this week I am taking a step back and just trying to work through some of the details to get where I am going. I need to see the little pictures instead of getting swept up in the big one!

We are interviewing for a new team member this week. A portfolio manager. It's an interesting position. I have never really interviewed anyone and we are doing it as a group. It makes it even more interesting as it is a higher level position we are hiring for. Already we have had a good candidate and a bad one. We have also had some people come out of the woodwork that I would have excpeted to see. It will be interesting to see what happens with all of this. I now see just how difficult it is to hire someone - how can you tell what people will be like once you get them in the position? Weird stuff. But fun at the same time. What really makes this an interesting position is the fact that this person needs to know everything about Project Management, but will not actually be managing projects - at least not today. They will also be working closely with me (won't that be fun?!!) So - we'll see. I am trying to stay very open minded about this whole process and have faith in my boss. Afterall she hired me. So far we have agreed on people we have talked to. It's pretty cool.

Lets see... I think that is about all to chat about at the moment. Back to Monday!!!
