Happy Ground Hog Day!
Happy Ground Hog Day!What the heck? What were people smokin' to come up with the idea at that a small furry animal could predict the weather? Ahhh.... I just found this site What in the Heck is Groundhog Day Anyway?. It's a German thing. That explains it. Basically it is all about the sun coming out on a certain day. Which just seems Kooky if you ask me. But the sun wasn't shining in Pittsburgh today. So there will be 6 more weeks of winter. The sun wasn't shining in Seattle this morning either...
Today is also Imbloc, Imbolg, Oimelc or Candlemas, depending on who you are and what you believe. This is the day to welcome the coming of Spring. Which is pretty cool if you ask me. Since we are expecting at least two more months of crazy weather, it is a good reminder that spring will come eventually and the flowers and sun will be out
Hmmm.... The weekend was good. I worked on Saturday and checked in several times on Sunday to see if anything was broken. Things seem calm this morning... of course that is just my neck of the woods. There are lots of people running around like crazy, and I will be running around later this week. Right now, though, it is nice and calm. Saturday night Freeman and I were Trivial Pursuit champions! Sunday we took a load of my stuff over to my mom's house (where I will be moving for about a month.) I'm trying to get stuff over there in little loads. That way things are more manageable. I have lots of stuff though - so it is important to me to make progress on the whole moving thing. Plus I know that at least half my weekends from now on will probably be spent in the office trying to make sure things are all kosher. Regardless, it was good to get some stuff moved.
The rest of Sunday was all about the Superbowl. I was over at Freeman's house. There was SO much food it was crazy! Good stuff though. And from what I can tell we will be eating it for the next week
Hmmm.... I guess it is time to get back to my Monday morning!!
