Cell Phones….
Cell Phones....Normally I am all for cell phones. Normally I think they are great. I can deal with people using them on the street and on buses and learning things about people that I should never know. However, there is one thing that REALLY bothers me. Why do people answer cell phones in the bathroom? Why? And why do people think that the bathroom is a good place to hold a private conversation? We all know what happens in bathrooms right? It's no secret. So why????
A few years back, I was working on Colorado in this smaller building. There weren't a lot of choices for restroom use. I walk in and there is a woman on the phone. She is in the middle of a heated conversation. Arguing, yelling and so on. I look at her and give her a look like, "What are you doing?" Then I pointed towards the stall and made my way over. Thinking that she would be well aware of what I was up to. Afterall this was a bathroom for goodness sakes! I flush the toilet and come out of the stall to see her staring at me with this completely shocked looked on her face. Then she says, "I didn't know you were going to do that!" Meaning, she didn't know I was going to flush the toilet. Are you kidding me??? What the??? And she was completely serious about it. Somehow I was supposed to feel bad that I had to pee while she was having an argument...
See my point here? Why oh why would you try to hold a personal phone converstaion in the bathroom? You know what goes on there. It really isn't a secret.
Please, hang up your phone and let me pee in peace!
