Case of the “Mondays”

Yesterday I had a case of the Mondays.  Things seemed like they were going to be okay – until I got to work and found my network connection was down.  Realizing that I was not going to be able to contact Help unless I called, I took a deep breath and dialed the numbers.
I am not usually one to complain about the outsourcing to India.  I realize that people all over the world need jobs and if they do it cheaper, well that is capitalism.  Capitalism is the way our society has chosen to live, so that’s what we get.  But it’s pretty frustrating when you call in and they tell you that you need to re-do everything you have already done to troubleshoot.  Shut down your computer.  Check the network connections, is everything plugged in?  What kind of error messages are you getting?  Maybe you should shut down your computer again, just to be sure.
Aurgh.  It’s not my computer, the whole network is down on the floor!  Just fix it!
So, um, yeah.
After a frustrating call for help, things got steadily wackier from there.  I was late to meetings, I couldn’t seem to speak correctly, I did turns in my cube trying to figure something out and looking something like a frazzled ballerina.  (A girl can pretend right?)
By lunch time things had calmed considerably and I spent the whole afternoon working away.
Today I feel much better!
