Updates
Things happening these days:
- My New team is located on the East Coast. I am in Seattle. The new team decided that they need to have daily meetings, first thing every morning. First thing for them is 8:30am. For me it’s 5:30 am. It’s been hard to get used to and I have been pretty exhausted all week. Especially since I take several dance classes that end around 9pm at night. Don’t get me wrong - I was getting up at 5:30, but being on a call, needing to be coherent and provide input that early is a whole other story.
- The new legislation running through Congress to take bonuses for Companies that took TARP money has me worried. We need to run the numbers and see if we’re going to be affected. We also need to find out if the transition pay is included as a “bonus”. I wrote both of my Senators and my Representative about this craziness. I understand people are upset, heck I am upset. But I am upset at the Government for giving them the money - not at AIG for spending it. Seriously. Who is really to blame here? Really, though, I am scared. Because I am losing my job in a few months and the cushion that was promised to me might be taxed 90% and there doesn’t seem to be anything I can do about it. Which really sucks. And may just put us in a position we don’t want to be in.
So, yeah. I am tired and worried. And a little depressed. Because it is depressing to go into the office every day when you know everyone around you is losing thier job including you.
Not fun.
What is fun? The Ballet. It was amazing. It was beautiful. I’ve never seen anything like it. I LOVED it.

Bold and Graphic!
I asked Hubby what kind of duvet cover we should get for the bedroom.
I was thinking micro-suede softness in a dark chocolate brown. He pointed out that our new furniture (set to arrive next week) is dark chocolate and all that darkness might be a bit much for him.
So I started looking for a pattern. Neither of us liked the stripes I found and basic geometric shapes wouldn’t go with our theme. We wanted something bold and graphic. I found this on eBay for just the right price. I think it will work for awhile.

Again?
Erin is here from Denver. She’s been telling us what a dry, hot winter they have been having. I think Mother Nature heard her and wanted to remind her what snow looks like…
