Updates!
I know I’ve been relying heavily on the photo blogs to tell the story of what’s been happening lately. It seems that I haven’t had much time to sit and actually write about life lately…
House: The house is wonderful. Scratch that – it’s amazingly wonderful. I love it. I love the fact that we get to go “home” every night and it’s actually a house, all on its own. Since we have some green space to one side of us, we have lots of lovely greenery to look at. Our dead end street means we don’t have people randomly driving past our house. I’ve painted two rooms, the craft room and the master bedroom. I’m working on a strategy for the guest room as I want to try my hand at faux finishing.
We’ve got a few boxes left to unpack; mostly it’s a storage issue. I simply don’t know where to put stuff anymore. We need to start thinking about storage options and where we want to store stuff. And if we want to store some of this “stuff” at all. I’ve already got a pile to go to Goodwill, I might just add more to it. But, we’re not in a huge hurry to get all of that done. Since we know we’re going to be here for awhile, we are taking our time. Plus we don’t want to buy something just to have it – we’re thinking about every purchase, every object that comes into the house.
So far it’s been a great adventure. I’ve enjoyed walking around and dreaming with Hubby. We walk into rooms and talk about what we can do, what we want to do and how we might do it. The same goes for the garden/yard. It’s an adventure to see what’s been planted and what we uncover when we weed, mow and trim. We’ve found several rose bushes we didn’t know we had, which is great because Hubby loves roses. We have a fruit tree with fruit! We just don’t know what kind of fruit it is…
The Adventures continue…
Work: I’m managing my own project. It’s a first for me, and I have been busy trying to figure out exactly what that means. So far it means lots of meetings, lots of notes and even more emails. I took a day off and came back to 60 plus emails. Seriously! There isn’t enough time in a day to look at and respond to all the emails I get. But I am trying. The great thing about all of this is the team I am working with. They seem genuinely happy to have me aboard and have been helping me to understand what I’m missing.
Other Stuff: I’ve been making it a point to write almost every day. I feel like it’s made a huge difference in my life. I’ve been capturing at least 5 things I’m grateful for every day, which reminds me of the good stuff in life. Usually I come up with more than 5. I’ve realized that everything counts. I don’t put limits on what’s great about life, no qualifications. It makes me realize how blessed I am in every way. From a warm cup of coffee, to sunshine, to waking up in the morning. I am blessed to be alive.
I’m off to get some work done!

Relaxin at home
We’re relaxing a bit after getting a few chores done during the day.
Jager decided to join Hubby in his chair for a bit… It’s almost too cute for words
