Street Fair Season!
Street fair season has begun and Hubby, Lance and I are in the University District kicking it off. Its a balmy 82 degrees, perfect
for shorts, tank tops and street performers.
Until we move (still waiting for news on that front) you can check the list for where to find me!

Until we meet again…
My first friend in Seattle leaves for Washington DC tomorrow. She’s been busy finishing up her undergrad degree and will head to graduate school in the fall. It might be a long time before we see each other again.
I couldn’t be happier for her. She took charge of her life and decided to go back to school to make her future what she wanted- not what was handed to her. She left a good job, family and friends to persue a new path. And she’s made it! She’s done what she thought, for a long time, she would not be able to do.
I’ll be excited to hear more about her adventures going forward!
Good luck Maggie!
I couldn’t be prouder, and I am lucky to have you as a friend.

Promises, promises
Why is it that the hardest promises to keep are those we make to ourselves? Why is it so easy to put ourselves aside in favor of anything else?
Two weeks ago I’d made myself a small promise. I would start writing.
I would take 30 minutes out of my morning and dedicate it to exploring the written word, however it decided to present itself. Journaling, ranting, blogging, it doesn’t matter, what mattered was writing.
Two weeks later I’m wondering what happened.
Not only am I physically sick with a cold, I’m a little sick of my actions towards myself.
I keep putting my job first. A job that isn’t that fulfilling! Where I’m constantly challenged by people who seriously try my patience because they don’t listen or pay attention to the people they are supposed to be supporting.
Regardless, I keep finding myself ignoring the one person who really matters. Me.

Um…
Over the weekend I got sick. Sometime Saturday afternoon the fever
hit, along with the chills and achy muscles. Its lasted through today, but I’m starting to feel a wee bit better.
Of course, with the fever and chills subsiding, the runny nose, sneezing and coughing kicked in. I’m hoping to feel much better by Wednesday night, when I head outside for the start of parade classes. Its hard to believe that the Summer Solstice is only 6 weeks away!
In other news, the seller has finally signed our offer. We have yet to SEE said signed offer, but we’re thinking good thoughts as the agent has taken the listing off the market.
Hopefully in a few weeks we’ll be in a new home!
