Dance, dance!
Every month my group has a staff meeting. Since we’re a technical group, we have a bunch of geeks for managers. These geeks love their video games, so before each meeting we have some game time.
Today’s game was Dance, dance revolution!
Happy Crumpet Time!
The last Friday before vacation and we’re hanging out at the Crumpet Shop for breakfast.
The owner’s son is baking the yummy crumpets this morning and they are delicious!
I’d say our last day before vacation is off to a GREAT start!

Bored at work
Hmmm
Not that I’m complaining, because I’m leaving for vacation next week, but I’m pretty bored at work. Again.
The new place did put me on a project, but as a project admin, not as
a project manager. Which means I get to do things like set up projectors, bug people for status and type meeting minutes. In fact, I have been spending about three hours everyday sitting in a small conference room listening to people talk to each other. Or yell at
each other, depending on the day.
And I’m Bored.
So bored that I left 20 minutes early for a meeting and walked extra slow to get here, still ariving 15 minitues too early. But at least
I’m in a nice waiting room with natural light instead of my drab, gray cube that faces the entrance.
I’m going to attempt to do something about the boredom issue...we’ll see what happens!

Lookin Up
Yesterday I concentrated on “Up”.
I noticed over the last few days that I have been looking down a lot. Looking at the street, looking at people’s feet. Yesterday I decided that had to change. I’m tired of looking at the carpet, so I’m going to look at the ceiling for awhile.
I know it sounds corny, but I have found that my spirits generally go where my eyes do. If I spend a lot of time looking down, my spirits start to falter and lower. When I look up and concentrate on the sky, the tops of buildings, the ceiling, my spirits do the same. So, I’m looking up these days!
It helps that I only have a few more days until I am on vacation for 2 WEEKS. 2 weeks out of work, away from the office and 10 of those spent in Florida. I don’t care if it’s sunny, it will be warmer than here!
We’ve got a lot planned, and I am hoping to be able to update regularly while I’m out.
In other news...I’m still sick. The Bronchitis is hanging on and doesn’t seem to want to leave. I don’t think it will get any worse, but I have a good feeling that being in Florida will help me a lot. A change in venue, not being around all the sick people at work, are going to work in my favor!
5 days till we leave. w00t!

Fight Night
It was Fight Night at the Tacoma Dome last nigh. Hubby has been
looking forward to this for over two months and I think it lived up to his expectations...with the exception of Bob Sapp losing WAY too quickly.
The entertainment was non-stop for me as well. I got to watch lots of little girls attept to look sexy while they tilted about on stileto heels, in to tight pants and breast bearing tops. I’m eternally grateful for a husband who appreciates me for who I am, a woman in
love with flat shoes, sweatshirts and jeans.
I’ve been to many of these events now and I always half expect to see fighting break out in the audience. Last night was the first time it actally happened as two men tackled each other right in front of us. One guy’s take down technique was just like the fighters in the ring...I have a feeling that picking a fight with mixed martial arts fans is not the smartest thing…
All in all it was a fun night
