Expectations

Hubby’s brother just called with the best kind of New Years salutation.  He and his wife are expecting a new member of their family sometime in June!
I hope the best for them and an easy pregnancy for Jennifer.

Happy 2008!

Where in the World is Elizabeth?

On December 21st, Elizabeth was performing (for the first time!) at the Fremont Winter Solstice Feast.  It was an amazing night and venue.  She was able to complete the dance with minimal mistakes (I was EXTREMELY nervous) and keep her candles lit the entire 4 minutes.  Afterwards she was very relieved it was over and only slightly looking forward to taking another performance class.  She hasn’t signed up for another one, so we’ll see if it happens anytime soon.

December 24th had Elizabeth visiting her husband’s family for Christmas Eve.  It was a low key night, as low key as it gets with three children anxiously awaiting the time to open presents.  Her favorite part was watching the kids play in the wrapping paper.  Every year they seem to have more fun with the wrapping paper and boxes than the actual gifts.  I told Hubby’s sister that I am going to get them a big roll of paper next year and forget about toys!

December 25th was Elizabeth’s family’s turn.  They went down for a nice brunch, opened gifts and played games.  Apples to Apples was a big hit around the table!  It’s been a hit every where they take it and for good reason!  Every one likes to be a judge!  Christmas dinner was wonderful as were the leftovers!

Elizabeth and Hubby were showered with gifts this year.  The greatest gift of all was knowing how much she is loved by her family and friends.

New Year’s Eve was celebrated in Greek style with a Toga party!  We stayed up till 2:30 laughing and having a great time.  We even had some fireworks to shoot off at midnight.

I want to thank everyone for the love and support I have received over the past year.  It has been a year of challenge and growth.  I am hoping the next year will bring me further on my career path and my path of personal growth.  I have a lot to learn and I feel like every day is a lesson.  I am blessed to have wonderful people around me, helping me on my path.

I’m in a new and challenging situation at work and have been working extended days and weekends to help things get on track.  It is an exciting opportunity that is allowing me to see where my strengths truly are as well as the areas I need to grow.

Happy New Year!  I hope that all of your dreams and aspirations come to fruition!
