Finally Friday
Finally Friday and we went for tea and crumpets and I feel like I am home again. I’m just starting to settle back into the routine, I have to admit that coming back to work was difficult. The trip to Colorado was great. We had so much fun!
We do so many things over the trip, I don’t know if I can remember them all.
It all started off with my Grandparent’s 60th wedding anniversary. Freeman met “the rest” of the family and helped to set up for the party. He was such a good sport about it all, even at over 8,000 feet. Pretty good for a guy who has never been in the Colorado Rockies. He did get a little altitude sickness, poor guy, but he made it through. We came down from the mountains on Sunday and stopped by Red Rocks Amphitheater before going to my friend’s house.
Then I treated him to the worst meal of his life! On purpose! I had gotten a wild idea to take Freeman to Casa Bonita – the world’s worst Mexican restaurant with the wildest atmosphere. Really, it’s like a Mexican Disney Land, only without the rides. The food is horrid and the service is bad, but you get to see cliff divers! It was hot and humid and we didn’t stay that long. I loved it though, he honestly didn’t believe him when I told him it would be the worse meal he had ever eaten (or close to it.) He believes me now!
During out trip we went to 7 breweries. We went on 4 tours. It was exactly what Freeman wanted to do. Here’s the list:
Flying Dog
Great Divide
Breckenridge
New Belgium
O’Dell
The Pump House
Coors
He wasn’t sure about going to Coors, but then decided we would at the end of the week. I think we had to work our way up to it. It was pretty fun once we got there. The tour was very sterile, especially compared to the micro-brew tours we went on. But it was fun to drink a Zima Icee!
Now we’re back and I’m hip deep in wedding planning again. 84 days!

My Favorite Winery
My favorite winery is having an open house this weekend.
I know, you probably want to know all about my trip to Colorado. I’ll tell you all about it AFTER I finish my plug for SEIA wines.
Anyway if you like wine and I know a few of you do, and you live in the Seattle area, you should go check out Seia wines. They are fantastic! Tell them I sent you and they will be EXTRA nice! Cause they are that fabulous!

Can Hardly Stand It
I am leaving tomorrow for Colorado and I can hardly sit still today. I want to be gone now! I guess that is the nature of vacations…
We’ll be there a week – so no blogging while I am gone. I am sure we will be very busy wondering around Denver and outlying areas. Actually we have an itinerary for the trip – the entire week is chock full of brewery tours and museum visits and trips down memory lane. Freeman has never been to CO, nor has he ever been to where I grew up – I am very excited to show him!
It’s almost time to leave work and then it will be time for packing and packing and making sure we have everything we need…I can hardly stand the wait!

Denver Here We Come!
We leave for CO on Friday and my brain is already there. I have no idea how I am going to make it through the next two days at work. Well, I am SURE I will leave early on Thursday. Sure because it’s Tuesday and already I can’t think straight about what I should be working on and getting done!
We’ve got a full plate of stuff planned for the next week. I’m very excited to be taking Freeman to CO for the first time. I hope he likes it as much as I do!
