Is it working?
Is it working? So - I was at Defective Yeti today and he had this site posted for Sarah McLachlin's "Basted in Blood" video... It puts a whole new spin on Thanksgiving let me tell you.
So, it doesn't seem to be working. Regardless of having my headphones on and pretending to be super busy with various aspects of things on my computer screen, people are still giving me more work to do. How dare they! Can't they see that I am avoiding them and work? I was almost even rude to one guy. Mostly because he was eating chips while standing over my shoulder. I felt like I was in a bad Dilbert cartoon... I think he even got crumbs in my hair... and he was playing with my toys, which normally doesn't bother me, but he actually took it with him when he left, which meant he was coming back. And to top it off it was one of my favorite toys! My ball of balls... (otherwise known as a squishy smile ball) When he did come back he had more work for me to do! And was wondering why I hadn't completed the first task he gave me! (And it was a good thing I didn't complete it because he changed his mind, and it would have been a pain to fix. I'm not gonna do it till tomorrow anyway, in case he changes his mind yet again)
The good news is - Freeman is going to pick up my packages for me! Yeah! Now I don't have to worry about rushing out of the parking lot and trying to get to my complex before 6pm. I am hoping, against all hope, that both packages are there. I really need the one for my trip (it's yarn in case you were wondering and getting worried that I wasn't going to tell you)
It's 4pm now! I could almost get away with leaving right now! But I will wait it out. I'll leave at 4:20
Hiding….
Hiding....Currently I am hiding at my desk trying to pretend that I am not here so that no one will ask me to do anything more than what I am currently doing. Not that I mind doing a lot of work. Not that I mind Doing anything that I can for people, just today and probably the rest of the week, I just want to hide till it is time for me to leave. I am finally getting a little excited to go to Colorado. It has been a year since I have been there and last year was super traumatic for me. Not sure why, I think that I just didn't want to go back. I am excited to see some people, though I won't have time to make all the rounds...
This week has been interesting. I don't feel like working, but I have been getting a TON of work done. And I am trying to get everything together for my trip, but it almost doesn't feel real. I am sure it will when I get on the road Saturday morning and find myself in Denver Sunday night! But it will be fun.
Last night Freeman and I went to Casa Mia for dinner. We had wine, salads and pizza. The pizza is SO good. It just melts in your mouth. And you want to eat more and more... but we were good. We each had two pieces and he took the rest home for lunch today.
I had lunch with Kim. She is so cute. She let me know that she will help me pick out a neighborhood to move to in Jan. I have to start looking next month when I get back... It should be fun but I am feeling trepidacious about the whole thing. I just don't feel like I am prepared for life right now! I really want to just crawl into bed and take a nap!
Hmmm... not really much else to say. I have been busy with work stuff... and busy with home stuff... and haven't really been up to anything new and exciting... at least not in the last 2 days.... (wink)

Saturday!
Saturday!Thank goodness for the weekend. Last week was tons of fun, but coming in early for work wore me out! I had so much to do to catch up while I was gone... Almost makes me fearful for what will happen when I am one for a whole week on vacation. I am sure it will all work itself out
Today was pretty fun - I got my hair done - I love my hairdresser. She totally rocks! Then I went to lunch with Freeman's mom and sister. Then we headed over to a salon for an afternoon of pampering. I got a pedicure - and it was customer appreciation day - so I got a free tanning session! Woo Hoo! I am sure I will be really happy tomorrow. Light therapy really works for me
Don't know what the rest of the weekend has in store for me, but I bet I will find out!

My Birthday!!!!
My Birthday!!!!Yeah for me!
So - Sunday mom and I went driving and shopping. It was lots of fun. I found a great pattern for Freeman's Christmas present - I am very excited to get started on it! We went to Burlington and then over to Whidby Island and came home on the ferry. It was lots of fun.
Monday afternoon Freeman and I took off for the Olympic peninsula. We had so much fun! It was a whirlwind tour of Poulsbo, Neah Bay, Cape Flattery, the beaches, Hoh Rainforest and much much more! One of these days I will write a whole narrative on what happened... for now you just get the hook!
Happy Wednesday!!!

Party!!
Party!!So - to celebrate my birthday we had a little party at Freeman's house. Mom brought the cake! Mom, Freeman and Freeman's mom all made dinner - enchiladas! They were super yummy! We made enough to feed a small army!
Freeman's mom and dad were there along with his sister and his nephew Raymond. It was fun to have so many people around for the occasion. I hung out with Frank (Freeman's dad) most of the day while Freeman and his mom went shopping.
I got some great gifts too! Lots of bath stuff - which I love - and some new pajamas and towels (purple!) Freeman got me a malachite sphere - it is really REALLY cool! Malachite is my FAVORITE stone and the sphere is just an incredible specimen.
It was lots of fun!
Tomorrow mom and I are hitting the road for some shopping and bonding. For us it isn't about what we buy but about spending time together in the process. I am sure I will talk her ear off
