FRIDAY!!!

FRIDAY!!!

Went out with Leanne and Freeman for dinner last night. We headed down to the powerhouse, which has really good beer and the food isn't to bad either. It was really fun having Leanne in town. I wish all my friends would stop by for a visit. It is fun for them to see where I am and where I hang out.

Work was alright. There was just lots to do and not much time to do it. I got to bring some of it home with me. No big deal really - it is just stuff I know I need to get done and I don't want to be rushed when I do it. Budgets are such tricky things - you really want to take your time.

It was windy and rainy today. I don't mind the rain, actually I love it. I love lifting my face to the sky and feeling the rain hit my face. There is nothing better than the fresh feeling of the weather... I don't like a lot of wind either. Last night when I was traveling around, I came upon a tree that had fallen over in the middle of the road. It was interesting though, not only had the tree fallen over, but there had amassed a rather large group of men and boys. It was rather funny as they only had one chainsaw among them, but they made very quick work of the tree and I was soon able to make my way through the left over limbs and leaves. The particularly sad part of the whole ordeal was that the tree had actually fallen on someone's car. No one was hurt, but the car was damaged.

Looking forward to the weekend!

Wow - what a day this has been.

Wow - what a day this has been. I kind of like 4 day weeks. I had once figured out that I could safely miss two days at work and be fairly busy (at the pace and load I like) for the other three days. This week has proven my theory correct. I am sure that I will get all my work done by tomorrow at noon! I rock!

So - this morning I rode the bus tunnel up with mom. I get off at University Street and come up through Benaroya Hall. In the mornings, most mornings at least, there is a flute player that performs. What makes it really neat is the way the music just kind of wafts through the tunnel, and you really start to hear it as you are coming up the escalator.

This morning I was listening to the music and walking up the pathway to get out of the tunnel and noticed that there is a plaque on the wall that says "Theater of Music" How appropriate is that?

Dinner with Leanne was a lot of fun smile We are meeting up again tonight. Should be a great time!

YEAH

YEAH

I get to have dinner with Leanne tonight! I literally JUMPED out of bed at 5 am this morning when I realized I get to see her. It has been a long time since I have seen her. I didn't realize I would be so darn excited about her visit. But I am smile She is clear over in Belleview though - so I had to drive in this morning. Which wasn't all terrible. I stopped and picked up coffee for me and my rider (if you have to drive, car-pooling is the only way to go.) Freeman had forgotten that we were driving today, so I am glad I got to the station before him. At least he wasn't late! That really would have sucked.

Traffic was heavy this morning. Which is unusual for a Wednesday. But then I haven't been driving to work, so I really don't know that it was unusual...

Been a super busy day at work - so I am glad that we got here a few minutes early. Feels like I haven't gotten a break all day. Which is cool. I don't usually have days like this, so I tend to enjoy the feeling of actually having a reasonable load and working to get it all done on time! Yeah!

Hmmm.... I had a story and now I can't think of what it was... I am sure I will remember later.

Huh?

Huh?

I got this message today:

"Hi Elizabeth,

I'm trying to schedule a room for 10/23 all day
I was wondering if you your conference for SAS09 on this date is on.
It's hard to know if people cancel meetings. "

Now, on the first read would you know what she was talking about? Something about a conference room, I got that. Something about SAS09... and something about needing a room all day.

Seriously - I had to read it like 3 times and check all my calendars twice to figure out what she was talking about. Maybe I was just too caught up in the verbiagege and lack of grammar to really comprehend what she was saying... or maybe the lack of a SPECIFIC room was what threw me. Since I schedule rooms for all kinds of people on my project I don't always know what is happening where. I don't memorize them... I have better things to think about. Like chocolate...

Ahh..

Ahh.. Monday. I mean Tuesday. Crap - what happened to Monday? Oh yeah... I didn't come to work. No wonder I feel pressured to get more done than usual! To bad an increase in motivation didn't come with the pressure. Oh well. I will get it all done.

The three day weekend was great. I had lots of time to work on Mom's birthday present - which is an afghan. She already knows about it, she picked out the yarn! But now I have to get it completed. I have till October 26th. I also spent time helping her do yard work this weekend. And watched lots of TV (had to so I could work on the blanket.) I got tons of sleep this weekend too. Which I needed and didn't need at the same time. I think the weather is dragging me down a bit... Time to get out the 'ol sun lights and start light therapy again. Good 'ol light therapy...

Hmmm....

Freeman and I also made huge improvements to my web site this weekend. Thanks Freeman! It looks so good now!
