Drawer pull

I’ve often heard the saying that if you want something new you have to make space for it. I made space for a new sewing table and imeadiately following I found this great table on the Internet.
It’s exactly what I was looking for. It even has these magnificent drawer pulls.

Flowers and Fireworks
Hubby and I had our first party at the house yesterday. With no major incidents and lots of happy people, we’re declaring it a Sucess.
People started showing up around 1pm, exactly when we thought they would. The party was in full swing about 30 minutes later, and the
Blue Angels started right on time.
They flew directly over our house at one point and it was fun to look out and see all of our happy guests shouting and pointing a the sky.Equally fun was the firework display later last night. The first thing we saw was a plane flying through the sky with fireworks spraying out from the wings. It flew around for about thirty minutes with different types of fireworks used. Not long after the big show started.
It was a busy day with lots of people showing up to visit. By the end of the night only Jason and Katie remained and the four of us watched the fireworks.
Our first party was great and we’ve got some great ideas for improvements for next year.

I can’t handle…
I can handle a lot of things in life. For instance, bugs, I can totally handle bugs. And spiders. Most of the time.
The new house has tought me many things. My latest lesson has been about spiders. Apparently I can totally handle spiders anywhere but the bathroom.
Upon seeing a spider in the bathroom I turn into a shreiking girl, terrified and hardly able to move. I have to call for Hubby to come and take care of them for me.
Yesterday there was one in the shower, this morning there was one in my cup.
I never knew I was such a wimp!
